Captain Steven Petri, Commander of the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock division, a scientific laboratory and an engineering center, is responsible for ships and ship systems in the U.S. Navy. He shares his experiences and responsibilities as commander of NSWC where they handle the hull, mechanical, and electrical aspects of Navy ships and submarines, and are responsible for the entire spectrum of ship and ship system technologies.
