Lockheed Martin/Alenia eye markets for C-27J Spartan
Article Abstract:
The C-27J Spartan light/medium tactical airlifter will be marketed in the United States and other countries by Lockheed Martin Alenia Tactical Transport Systems (LMATTS), which is a joint venture between the US company Lockheed Martin and Italian company Alenia Aeronautica. In the coming years, the company expects to see a total market for 170-200 aircrafts and currently their initial customers, namely the Hellenic and Italian air forces have already placed commitments for 27 Spartans.

Hercules labours ever onwards
Article Abstract:
Large numbers of legacy model C-130 Hercules aircraft are in service in more than 60 countries and hence continued modernization has become an operational necessity. Modern avionics with glass cockpits, navigation and communications systems are some of the major areas that are focused while upgrading the aircraft.

Uprated UH-60M makes first flight

UH-60M Black Hawk, a version of Sikorsky Aircraft' s S-70 helicopters, has made its maiden flight from the company' s Flight Development Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The UH-60M is intended to replace the L-model as the standard configuration for all US Army Black Hawk production in 2007.
