NATO works to control illicit weapons in Bosnia-Herzegovina
Article Abstract:
The fear of possible return of war after the end of Bosnian War has led NATO's stabilization Force (SFOR) to make attempt to remove illicit weapons from the civilian population through Operation 'Harvest'. Troops in SFOR's Multi-National Brigades use a range of methods, including intelligence led search-and-seizure operations and voluntary weapons collection programmes, to remove illegal arms and ammunition from the civilian population of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
