Iraq provides lessons in nation building
Article Abstract:
Lieutenant General Jay Garner, responsible for the planning and execution of Iraqi reconstruction from January to May 2003, has admitted of making mistakes in the planning for post-war Iraq. Garner feels that one of the biggest mistakes made in the opening weeks was a failure to communicate more effectively with the Iraqi people as a whole.

Dutch authorities report increase in Islamist radicalization

The killing of filmmaker Theo van Gogh in November 2004 has highlighted the concerns over the radicalization of Muslim youth in the Netherlands. The Dutch domestic intelligence and security service has reported an increase in the radical Islamists threat to the national security of Netherlands.
