Allison Stiller, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy expounded the need for a stable ship production plan in order to support the US shipbuilding industry at the Navy League Sea Air Space Symposium in Washington D.C. He stated that the US cannot rely on other countries for participation in military activities and hence the US Navy (USN) needs to be robust enough to respond to threats without coalition support.
