Out of the loop
Article Abstract:
It is envisaged that for the next twenty years the long-range bomber force will play an important role in the long-range strike capabilities and United States has to have the ability to employ force at the time and place of its choosing regardless of area denial or anti-access efforts by an enemy. Although national guidance, operational environment and Air Force Concept of Operations (CONOPS) have basically changed in the recent past, the bomber road map and modernization priorities continue to remain unchanged and underfunded and recommendation is that the bombers be connected to network-centric operations in the interests of the nation's security.
