Planning large convoys in a hostile area
Article Abstract:
Detailed, solid convoy planning is essential to moving successfully through a hostile enemy territory and delivering all classes of supply to supported units. The Marine Corps provide some outstanding training to run a convoy operation that is geared toward smaller, direct support movements that will close with and destroy the enemy and at the same time teaching safety values.

Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) has entirely changed the future of the role of the public affairs (PA) in military operations. Media analysis in the expeditionary environment provides immediate feedback to the public affairs officer (PAO) and to the commander as to the impact of PA activities on information operations (IO) strategy.
