Article Abstract:
Iraq seems certain to preoccupy President George W. Bush, as he begins his second term in 2004, and has made it clear that he intends to stick to his goal of establishing a stable, democratic Iraq. The Bush administration has promised the US military a continuation of policies and issues that dominated the first term and a defense budget of about $443 billion is expected to be unveiled in February 2005.

Surreal strategy: Democrats' national security plan short on specifics
Article Abstract:
Top Democratic lawmakers released 'Real Security: The Democratic Plan to Protect America and Restore our Leadership in the World' on March 29, 2006 which unveils their plan to strengthen national security. The plan, at three pages, in length, with large type and lots of which space, outlines a five-point strategy, which the Democrats declares as both difficult and smart.
