RUAG Suisse: a satisfactory first year

RUAG Suisse Group CEO Toni J. Wicki told reporters at a press conference in Bern, Switzerland on May 10, 2000 that the four RUAG companies' overall turnover for its first year was 10% better than expected. Swiss Aircrat and Systems Enterprise Corp had the largest share of the 1999 turnover, followed by Swiss Ammunition Enterprise Corp, Swiss Ordnance Enterprise Corp and Swiss Electronics Enterprise Corp. Wicki also revealed RUAG's growth strategies.

RUAG Technology Group of Switzerland, despite a difficult economic environment, was able to stabilize its overall volume of sales for the 2003 financial year and successfully finalized in many areas the path of strategic change. Although 2003 observed ups and downs, the outlook of the business brightened at the end of the year, with internal strength and new and expanded fields of business.
