RWM concentrating on core competencies

The formation of Rheinmetall Waffe Munition (RWM) GmbH along with the Nitrochemie Group (NC) and Oerlikon Contraves Pyrotec AG (OCP) has concentrated an important area of Rheinmetall DeTec's business under one roof. RWM's expertise in large-caliber weapon systems such as the PzH-2000 will continue to play an essential role focusing on non-lethal weapons and munitions, protection and pyrotechnic systems as well as the wide ranging services available at the test centers.

China is making an effort to improve both the capabilities of its armed forces and the technological level of its defense industry producing a new multirole combat vehicle in the Air Force programmes. The programme history, development and launching of PLAAF's (People's Liberation Army Air Force) new Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group CAC J-10 (Jianjiji or Fighter 10) are described.
