GBAIT prototype approaches delivery date
Article Abstract:
A prototype of GBAIT (Ground-Based Active Imaging Technology), an aid to long-range target identification by armoured vehicle crews, is scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2007. GBAIT, which uses laser-burst illumination technology, was exhibited at the Defence IQ Light and Medium Armoured Vehicles 2007 conference held in London.

German Army readies Leopard 2 for MOUT
Article Abstract:
The German Army plans to retain 350 Leopard 2 tanks that will be used to sustain the German Army's remaining six 44-strong tank battalions, and modified for military operations in urban terrain (MOUT). The Leopard 2 fleet with remain in service until 2030.
