Criminalisation of the DPRK
Article Abstract:
North Korean diplomats have often been charged with criminal activities, such as drug smuggling, but in 1994 the government actually initiated an agency to oversee such activities. The aim of Bureau 39 is to bring foreign currency into the country, using any methods necessary.
