Serb war criminal holds regional stability hostage
Article Abstract:
Serbia adopted a European Union (EU)-sponsored action plan on July 20, 2006, to cooperate with Belgrade in finding indicted war criminal Ratko Mladic. Though Serbia views this as an attempt to encourage the EU to offer accession incentives, doubts remain regarding its political will and ability to implement the plan, leading to fears of increasing regional instability as negotiations on Kosovo's likely secession at the end of 2006 take place.
