Tailoring effective soft-kill for the small ship cause
Article Abstract:
The attack on the Israel Navy Sa'ar5 missile corvette INS Hanit by Iran brought into focus the smaller ships ability to withstand any major damage and the emphasis on the use of techniques and technologies intended to reduce their overall susceptibility. It stresses on the integration of a soft-kill system that would take into account the signature of the ship itself as well as the nature of the threat and tailor the countermeasures to match it.
