The site offers a wide variety of capabilities, from indoor evaluations to actual flight checks. The site is dedicated to testing the most advanced equipment in the world so as to ensure the Air Force stays on the cutting edge of air defense.

United States Air Force's SR-71Blackbird, the B-29 Enola Gay and Airstream trailers used by NASA as mobile quarantine facilities are some of the aircraft and spacecraft housed at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. Plans call for the center to house 200 aircraft and 135 spacecraft.
