Article Abstract:
The technological awareness in the robotic field provides lots of opportunities to increase the warfighting capabilities of the United States Marine Corps. The unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), cyber robotics, unattended sensors, Dragon fire II expeditionary fires 120 mm mortar and mobile counterfire systems are some of the robotic systems that are being used by the Marine Corps.

The Marine Corps must ensure that the Marine unmanned aerial vehicle squadrons (VMUs) continue to provide their high-quality support to the commander and seamlessly transition to employment of the follow-on unmanned aerial system (UAS). The VMU mission states that it must be capable of limited independent operations and able to displace and move the operational capability of its UAS equipment.
