The Netherlands U.S. Military Cemetry
Article Abstract:
The Netherlands U.S. Military Cemetery, the third largest American Military cemetery in Europe, is administered and operated by the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) that is responsible for commemorating the services of U.S. military service members. It is the final resting place of the 8,301 American soldiers who died in World War II and represents forty-eight of the sixty-one U.S. divisions that fought in Europe.

Article Abstract:
The 65th Infantry Regiment, manned by Puerto Rican troops, was one of the Korean War's most dependable and heroic units from September 1950-December 1951, only to deteriorate in 1952. Integration, and other measures, helped restore the unit's proud reputation.

The US Army can trace its history back to 1775, when it was established by the Second Continental Congress and George Washington was put in charge. Personal recollections of the Army's activities during the Korean War are presented.
