The Danish future soldier- a key player
Article Abstract:
The continuous Danish deployments to the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq are the main reasons for the transformation of its army from a mobilization army into a future combat-ready army for the full spectrum of missions. The Danish army is focusing on the main issues like interoperability, modularity and potential while developing the future soldier system and the future soldier is changing into a capable fighter acting on a more or less transparent battlefield.

The Belgian Soldier Transformation (BEST)
Article Abstract:
The Belgian Soldier Transformation's (BEST) main aim is to provide an integrated, modular and effective fighting system to troops fighting on foot at close range to the enemy in the dismounted or close combat. The BEST is concentrating on soldier-to-soldier communications within a section, platoon or a company including the Network Enabled Capabilities (NEC) and will also address the possible technical solutions of the equipment.
