The art of detection: UGS systems make a quantum leap in reliability and utility
Article Abstract:
The use and dependability of the unattended ground sensors (UGS) has improved greatly with the rapid development in the electronics, data processing and power supplies along with networking radio methods. The UGS systems enable high-level data fusion with advanced algorithms and upgraded multimodal sensors that reduce the chances of false alarms and are used with human operators and lethal mechanisms to give a 'minefield alternative'.
