The future of air power
Article Abstract:
Chiefs of Staff of the world's leading air forces are in consensus that the development of air power in the 20th century has made it a critical element in contemporary warfare. Air forces throughout the world have become highly precise and lethal because of ever emerging technological innovations. These officials also believe that the world's air forces will become even more significant in the 21st century although they will increasingly be oriented toward operations involving close international cooperation.

The enemy beneath: Finding and monitoring underground facilities
Article Abstract:
Deeply buried or significantly hardened underground facilities are being used by enemies for command and control functions, production and storage of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Hence, the Counter Underground Facilities (CUGF) program of DARPA focuses on Passive Acoustic, Seismic, and Electro-Magnetic Monitoring (PASEM) of underground facilities by ground sensors that will enable detection on tactical time scales.
