The new acquisition primary MOS: Improving the Marine Corps' acquisition capability
Article Abstract:
The Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC) has enforced rigid experience requirements to create a population of highly qualified acquisition professionals who would meet the stringent requirements for key leadership positions in the acquisition commands. The Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) acquisition professionals must meet the statutory requirements because they are most likely going to be managing programs that affect more than one Service, providing continuity and stability.
