Article Abstract:
The United States 1st Marine Division's (1st MarDiv) and coalition forces' Phase IV operations in Iraq, which are security and stabilization operations (SASO), after the major combat operations ended in April 2003 are described. The Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) continued even after Baghdad's fall and the Task Force (TF) and the Republican Guard's (RG) attacked Tikrit, Mosul and Kirkuk to get Saddam Hussein.
