Towards a global partnership between US and India
Article Abstract:
The mid-July summit between the two leaders US President George W. Bush and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh resolved to transform the relationship between their countries and establish a global partnership. A seat on Security Council would symbolise India's growing global influence and this position would grant India figurative prestige rather than true bargaining power.
