US nuclear deterrent is secure despite doubts cast on warhead
Article Abstract:
A debate within the US weapons laboratories over the reliability of the W-76 Trident warhead, which was giving problems, became public in April 2005 after a New York Times article reported that many nuclear weapons experts believed up to three-quarters of the US nuclear force could be defective.
