USAF demands larger UCAVs
Article Abstract:
The US Air Force (USAF) leaders are planning to make use of operational unmanned combat air vehicles (UCAV) being developed under the Joint Unmanned Combat Aircraft System (J-UCAS) project. New technologies in UCAVs are autonomous refueling, common operating system that has vehicles into a network, maximum take-of weight of 45 tonnes, and capability to fly for more than 50 hours on specific mission.

US Coast Guard endorses VUAV selection for Deepwater
Article Abstract:
The US Coast Guard has approved the selection by Integrated Coast Guard Systems of the Bell Helicopter Textron HV-911 tiltrotor as the Vertical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VUAV) for its Integrated Deepwater System. VUAV offers advantages, which includes flexibility of employment, the absence of pilot training, and a high surveillance coverage rate.
