Vega wins 6 million pounds sterling Nimrod aircraft training contract
Article Abstract:
VEGA Group PLC will supply computer-based training and other desk-top equipment for the RAF personnel involved in the Nimrod MRA4 aircraft, the Replacement Patrol Aircraft (RMPA), in a contract valued at more than 6 million pounds sterling. The RAF will use the equipment to train aircrew and maintenance technicians on how to operate and maintain the Nimrod MRA4 aircraft. The company is set to install the integrated training system in 2001.

Win/win packages for South Africa
Article Abstract:
The South African National Defence Forces and Armcor have completed the country's first ever "Defence Review" to determine the country's immediate military requirements. The review put in place a program for the acquisition of as many as four corvettes/frigates, four submarines, 150 main battle tanks, 40 fighter aircraft and 64 helicopters. Contractors from 10 countries have submitted their proposals for the requirements.
