ATI hurt by production woes, rivals' pressure

The financial performance of ATI Technologies Inc., for the quarter ended May 31, 2005, is discussed. ATI cited production problems and competition from Nvidia Corp. as the reasons for its dismal performance in the quarter. ATI added that sales in the current quarter would also be short of expectations. ATI's stock prices were down reflecting the poor prospects.
