Acktion selling shopping centre assets to Morguard
Article Abstract:
Morguard Real Estate Investment Trust is buying Devan Properties Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acktion Corp, for C$137 million. Acktion, which already owns 19.9% of Morguard, would be given a 48% equity stake in the REIT to become the single biggest shareholder. The agreement will almost double Morguard's assets to around C$800 million, which will be now consisted of 78 retail, office and industrial properties.
