International economic relations, or globalization, affects the way Australian advertising agencies do business. A US food producer choosing an ad agency that does not want to market in Australia could cause the Australian agency to lose a large account. Dozens of Australian-made products have become foreign-owned or -controlled since 1992, and this usually creates global campaigns that have no specific Australian interest.

The victims of Canberra bushfires feel that making and collecting their insurance claims is relatively difficult than dealing with the trauma of seeing their houses getting burnt. Many insurers are "over-insuring" by taking premiums for a certain sum but may offer considerably less in the dreadful event.
