Article Abstract:
Airlines have added the first flights between major US gateways and cities in northern and western Mexico to their routes as trade blossoms between the US and North America. The US-Mexico trade has doubled to around $300 million annually since Jan 1994, when the North American Free Trade Agreement took effect. Since the passage of the agreement, the number of passengers carried between the two nations have grown to more than 6% to nearly 15 million in 1999.
