Article Abstract:
US Airways Inc has announced that the airlines will stop operations on Mar 25, 2000, if its fails to reach a contract with its flight attendants union, Assn of Flight Attendants, before then. United warns of earnings slowdown
Article Abstract:
United Air Lines Inc has warned investors of lower-than-expected earnings for 2000. The airline, which made the announcement on Jul 19, 2000, blamed its revised forecast to cancellations and delayed flights as well as increases in aviation fuel costs. United, whose warning caused a decline in the valuation of its parent's share prices at the stock market, has experienced an overtime refusal by a number of its pilots since mid-Apr 2000, and is currently facing a work slowdown by some of its machinists.
