Atco chairman urges firms to join forces
Article Abstract:
Atco Ltd chairman and CEO Ronald Southern urged his two rivals in Alberta to join his company to create a united front against expected US competition. He said an alliance between Atco, Enmax Corp and Epcor Utilities would make sense because the Alberta's major utilities all use the same computer and billing systems. His proposal would create a 12- member board of directors with equal representation from the three companies.
