BCE Emergis begins U.S. B2B push

BCE Emergis Inc. will pay $88.3-million in stock for a US electronic billing startup, the start of a major push into the US business-to-business e-commerce market. The Montreal-based e-commerce services agreed to acquire private InvoiceLink Corp. (Greensboro, NC). InvoiceLink has developed technology that allows companies to receive, pay and dispute bills from their corporate customers over the Internet. The deal fulfills BCE Emergis's vow to make an acquisition that would provide entry into US.
