Bank cuts key rate, likely for the last time
Article Abstract:
The Bank of Canada cut its benchmark rate by one-quarter of a percentage point to 2 per cent, and also hinted that the cut is likely for the last time on April 13, 2004. The 2-per-cent rate matches the level in early 2002 when the economy was suffering from the post Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States.
