Bay shops at BiWay for new president
Article Abstract:
Hudson's Bay Co of Toronto, Canada, has named Marc Chouinard as new president for its Bay department store, replacing US retailer Ira Pickell. Chouinard, current president of the BiWay chain, is planning to focus on the demands of local customers rather than adapting the same strategy in each of its outlets. The department store chain has been suffering from weak earnings as a result of intense price competition, lower sales and excess inventory.
