Even the pessimist sounds optimistic
Article Abstract:
A debate about the growth of economy in 2004 between two protagonists, Dale Orr, who runs the Canadian economics service Global Insight Inc., and Peter Dungan of the University of Toronto's policy and economic analysis program, is presented. Both operate big computer-based models of the Canadian economy and predict growth rates of 3.6 per cent and 2.5 per cent respectively and provide related explanations for their predictions.

Article Abstract:
Statistical figures of employment indicating percent change in jobs age group wise for the year 2002-03 evaluated in the annual employment data from Statistics Canada are mentioned. In the year 2003, employment in Canada increased by 2.2 percent in which those in the age group 55 and above held 10.7 percent jobs.
