Can cell phones and wilderness coexist?
Article Abstract:
The National Park Service is contemplating whether visitors should be allowed to use cell phones in national parks to stay in touch with the outside world and possibly ruin the solitude and scenic vistas that others hope to find when they cross national park boundaries. Proposals to build tall cell phone towers in national parks are opposed and blocked by preservationists and Senators, as they believe that visitors should not enter wild and natural parks expecting all the modern-day conveniences.
