Wesley Clark's decision to enter the presidential race at this relatively late date was ultimately decided after a series of conversations with Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton about the topic. Clark, who is also from Arkansas, has other similarities to Bill Clinton in his background, and he commanded the troops that Clinton sent stop fighting in the former Yugoslavia. Some of Clinton's former top aides are ready to sign on with the Clark campaign.
