Charts as taskmasters
Article Abstract:
Power Up! introduces the $84.95 Quick Schedule Plus 3.1 personal information system software package that is easy to get started with and helps users organize tasks by creating Gantt charts. Gantt charts show what tasks need to be done on labeled time lines and graphically display what task comes first and how long each task will take. The time frame for each task can be as little as a few minutes or as long as 10 years; up to 500 task bars can be assigned with computers that have enough memory. Users need to have MS-DOS 2.0 or later and have at least 512Kbytes of internal memory. Editing a chart is an uncomplicated effort and can be printed out either in chart form or as a list of the jobs.

Being Info-selective
Article Abstract:
Micro Logic Corp's $99.95 Info Select personal information management system is a useful program that helps users organize information. Info Select requires an IBM microcomputer or compatible, DOS 2.0 or later operating system and can work on as little as 256Kbyte of internal memory. The program works on floppy disks but it is recommended that a hard disk be used. Some of the practical applications include storing sales leads, keeping notes on clients, replacing a Rolodex file, and cataloging collections. The program can be used as a stand-alone but it finds its greatest potential as a memory resident one where it loads with the power up switch and remains available behind other programs.
