Chrysler may help develop a minivan for Mercedes
Article Abstract:
Chrysler Corp. of Auburn Hills, MI, is talking with Daimler-Benz of Germany about the possibility of developing a Mercedes minivan. According to Chrysler President Thomas Stallkamp, the company is currently exploring options with Daimler and how to go about it if a decision is reached. However, Stallkamp declined to give details on the proposed Mercedes minivan. Chrysler's move would revive a program that was earlier scratched when the companies decided to merge in a $38-billion deal that is expected to be final in November 1998.
