Com Dev stock slides 35%

Com Dev International Ltd shares plunged 35% on the Toronto Stock Exchange following the company's announcement that its loss for the third quarter of 1999 would be three times higher than projected. The company's share tumbled a day after the Cambridge, Ontario, Canada-based maker of wireless phone and satellite equipment announced a reorganization plan that would include laying off about 15% of its work force, a management reshuffle and shut down of wireless equipment facilities in the US.
