CoolBrands trading frenzy cancelled
Article Abstract:
Market Regulation Services Inc. (RS) trade in more than one million CoolBrands International Inc. shares after a frenzied sell-off wiped out more than Can$350 million of market value on news that CoolBrands had lost a major contract with Weight Watchers. RS took the unusual step because the frozen-treats maker had failed to alert the regulator that the news was coming and to ask RS to halt trading in its shares.
