Corel to transform itself on Web
Article Abstract:
Software developer Corel Corp of Ottawa, Ontario, is planning to get 30% of its sales from Internet within two years, from 0.8% in 1998. Corel will build up heavy traffic at its Web site and expand the pool of Corel software users to generate on-line revenue from software upgrades, training courses and content. The company reported a mere $2 million in Web-based sales in FY98, but has been posting a monthly growth of 15% since Jan 1999.
