Cotton Ginny withdraws sale offer
Article Abstract:
Cotton Ginny Ltd., an apparel retailer headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, has cancelled plans to sell the company. The move comes after the firm received unfavorable purchase offers from three or four prospective buyers, which have expressed interest in gaining control over the retail interest. The offers received by the company were deemed insufficient and is not reflective of its overall value, according to Jack McGregor, the firm's president. Cotton Ginny sought to be acquired by another entity in light of the decline in the value of its stock.

Analysts say Dylex is not getting enough support from its women's wear group to boost its overall profit.
