Cuddy, CEO launch defamation suit
Article Abstract:
Cuddy International Corp., which is among the biggest poultry processors in North America, and its CEO, Peter Widdrington, sued Peter Cuddy and his lawyer, Christopher DuVernet, claiming that Cuddy and DuVernet committed malicious, false and totally unjustified defamatory accusations against Cuddy International and Widdrington. According to a statement of claim that was submitted on May 20, 1998, with the General Division of the Ontario Court, Cuddy International and Widdrington are asking for damages worth C$7 million. Peter Cuddy is the son of Alfred (Mac) Cuddy, the founder of Cuddy International.

Air Canada furious over data leaked to Westjet
Article Abstract:
The lawyers of Air Canada sent an angry letter to the president of the Airport authority Garth Atkinson regarding the exchange of the information and stated that it may affect the relationship of the Airlines with the Airport very badly. The lawyers also complained that the fax was very incorrect as it was based in the information the airline provided to the airport in confidence.
