The 1985 Pacific Salmon US-Canada treaty on overfishing and fisheries management has failed. Militant Canadian even staged a three-day blockade of a US Ferry with 385 passengers. Some think this aggression will harm the $7 bil tourist industry in BC. Political aspects of the dispute are discussed.
