The leadership in Canada is incompetent. No one can make Clifford Frames testify about the explosion of the Westray mine, which he managed. Canadian soldiers in Somalia and Bosnia Herzegovina have been charged with misconduct. And the Prime Minister has never heard of Donovan Bailey.

Debating Quebec on the Potomac
Article Abstract:
Canadians in Washington, DC, regard with curiosity the debate in Canada over the succession of Quebec. They cannot understand why Canada's two founding races, which arrived 4 centuries ago, cannot work together. It would be helpful if the next Prime Minister were not from Quebec.

The Canadian parliamentary system gives too much power to the prime minister and the ruling party. This silences the voices of intelligent independents such as House of Commons Rep Warren Allmand. The US system allows for more dissent.
