Tami Morrisroe infiltrated a British Columbian drug ring with ties to the Cali cartel and became an RCMP informant in its $16 million drug smuggling investigation. The RCMP has been slow to act on her information, and Morrisroe fears for her safety in spite of being a protected witness.

Eugene Uyeyama and his wife Michele were brutally killed on Dec 21, 1995. Uyeyama had been an informant for the RCMP, and his murder was allegedly ordered by Colombia's Cali drug cartel. The RCMP's drug investigation has been plagued by violence and poor control of seized drugs.
