Dell joins trend toward Internet PCs

Dell Computer Corp has introduced the Webpc, its latest line of Web- centric PC offerings. The Webpc is smaller, can link swiftly to the Web and comes with a troubleshooting button that assists users in solving problems. The Webpc is priced at $999 and has a free one-year Internet service from Dell. It is also legacy-free, using a universal serial bus for connections to MP3 players, digital cameras and other peripherals without the need for configuration.
