Descartes shares surge on sales, profit forecast

Software company Descartes Systems Group Inc (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) is forecasting its sales will be between US$115 mil and $120 for 2002. The company announced on March 6, 2001, it had upgraded sales, and profit, forecast for 2002, resulting in a surge in its stock prices. The company expects 90% of its 2002 sales to derive from license and network revenue. Descartes provides an Internet-based global logistics network for companies to track shipments and payments. The company has around 3,000 customers.
